South Africa Update
by Stephen Cartwright SOC Director
School of Christ report South Africa, June 2008 to present.
We ran our first full-time school of Christ in the city of Pretoria June 2008, we only had thirteen students for that first school, but two were pastors from Nigeria, two pastors from Zambia, three students from Zimbabwe and the rest were from local provinces in South Africa.
From this school doors opened up into the countries of Namibia and Botswana. After this school graduated, James and Theresa McCoy came to oversee the running of the school; they ran two schools in Pretoria and one school in Cape Town.
We appointed a local pastor called Shadrack to direct the school in Pretoria and another pastor called Simphiwe to direct the one started in Cape Town. Until now full-time schools have continued to run in both places. We just recently closed the school down in Pretoria, but we will be running another school in August 2010 in Cape Town.
