Taken from II Corinthians 13:5 "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" This is the most serious and honest question you can ever ask yourself as a Christian. It is a detailed examination of the heart by the Word of God. "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart".

God demands this examination and will prove you through it. You whole life is a series of heart rending exams to see what you are made of. The heart is desperately wicked and will lie to you, it must be found out for what it really is. Every motive, every reaction, every thought will come under heavy scrutiny of God's infallible Word. The purpose... to conform you into the image of His dear Son.
