Syllabus: The Person of Jesus
Most of us are so superficial that we accept sin as inevitable and excusable. There
is only one man who could claim to be sinless, the person of Jesus. He did
not simply put on flesh, He became flesh. He became a real and proper man. Jesus
never used difficult words, yet said more than any other could say. Jesus spoke with
an authority that no one before or since has possessed, yet without an official status.
Jesus never had to tell Himself it was important to believe. He had a relationship
with the Father. He never began a work and then had to say He made a mistake. Yet,
Jesus was fully and completely a human just as we are. He developed as an ordinary
human being. We are to be conformed to His image.
