Itacaruare, Misiones – Argentina Report
by Brian Larsen SOC Director
It's not easy to describe in words what God did in the life of the ministers in this school in Argentina. As in every school, students share about how God is working in their lives through the messages from God, and we would like to share it with you.
A pastor president of a denomination testified, "I accepted the invitation to come to the School because I wanted to be free from many worries and to obtain one more certificate, but after the first lessons, I found Christ! One day as I was visiting a family, we were watching an old recording of me preaching, at the end of it a sister said to me, pastor, this is different than what you are now. I mean no offence, but you had more authority then, more boldness, and more conviction in your words. I had to respond, of course very embarrassed, that is true, sister. Because of many difficult situations in my life, home and ministry, I came to this School with many deep wounds, like the recent loss of my son, and the other one that is in prison, all of that a consequence of departing from the Bible foundations. But I can say today, that after only five days in this School, the Lord is cleansing, healing, filling me with His Spirit, bringing back that authority, and the boldness to preach the Gospel of Christ."
In like manner, there is another pastor who has a zeal for the Word of God and he shared it like this. Such zeal without the Spirit does not produce anything but scribes and Pharisees, but the Lord through the messages confirmed that this is the right way, and that it takes the Holy Spirit to bring life to the Word and to be witness with what we do, not only what we say.
Ministers are repenting of their lack of interest in the Holy things, neglect of prayer and the Word of God. They are repenting of compromising the message, of preaching only God's love, interested more in their careers, to obtain numbers in membership at all costs, instead of looking for quality. They have been doing so many other things, but now as they pray and listen to the messages of the Lord, they are exposed to the light and are looking to turn themselves from those things that hinder God's manifestation.
In every service, a time of prayer and Word of God is renewing the vessel, and we pray that each one of them, as they return to their homes, churches and communities would be so full of the Holy Ghost that they may express and make Christ known to this lost world. It is also our prayer that they might not be recipients only, but channels for the rivers of living water.
